In Loving Memory Of
Veronica Pinkins

Obituary

Veronica Pinkins was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to James T. (deceased) and Dorothy (Robinson) Barnett on May 16, 1954. She was the second of 4 children born to that union. Ronnie, as she was affectionately known, attended Glenville High School. As a teen, she and 2 of her friends formed a girls’ singing group. She gave birth to a beautiful daughter, Crystal Monique Pinkins (deceased), on August 16, 1972. She later married Clayborn Pinkins (deceased), and to that union, a lovely daughter Carmikia Denise Pinkins was born on December 21, 1975.

After the death of her husband, Ronnie began a search for the meaning of life and why bad things happen. She prayed for answers and was contacted by one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She began studying the Bible and was baptized on June 21, 1986. Wanting to help others to know the answers she found, she became a full-time minister (regular pioneer), devoting several hours a month preaching and teaching others.

She also worked at United Dairy Farmers with a smile, providing for the needs of store customers. She loved to laugh, dance, sing, and spend time with friends, grateful for a happy life despite illness. She was very appreciative of the loving physical, emotional, and spiritual support of her dear friends.

Her daughter, Carmikia, showed great love and devotion to her mother, which was a great joy to her heart. It was very moving to see their interchange of love during her final moments before her death on May 8, 2026, after a long battle of illnesses.

She had one brother Joseph, who proceeded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter Carmikia, her mother Dorothy Barnett, two brothers, Elton Barnett and Victor Barnett (Tammy) of Springfield, TN, uncle Edward Robinson (Lavada) of Evanston, IL., 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren as well as nephews, nieces, cousins, and dear friends. Also close to 10 million spiritual brothers and sisters.

We look forward to the day when she will answer Jesus’ call and awake from her sleep, eager to serve our God with beauty and strength.
